Meet Kelsey – Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Emotional Eating Recovery Coach

Meet Kelsey!

Kelsey is a BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Emotional Eating Recovery Coach working in the health and wellness industry in the lower mainland since 2011. She is passionate about helping people re-connect to their bodies through movement therapies, make peace with food and step into their personal power so they can live whole-hearted and fulfilling lives.

Kelsey’s personal struggle with poor body image, emotional eating and dieting were painful. In light of her past, she has transformed those experiences into teachings that she now imparts to her clients every day. She now combines her background in personal training, her passion for nutrition, and learnings from her health journey in her practice. Since 2011, Kelsey has helped over 500 people improve their quality of life through both physical exercises, nutrition, practicing self-compassion and self-care.

We wanted to learn more about Kelsey, so we asked her a few questions.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

My unwavering commitment to creating a better future for myself and my clients. I wake up everyday with a deep sense of knowing I was put here for a reason and each day I want to honour that with my fullest intentions.

What would an ideal world look like to you?

A collective community that is united, diverse and accepting where opportunities are abundant for all regardless of your gender, race, financial status and socio-economic background.

How has the dnaPower test helped you and your clients?

It’s been empowering and affirming for both myself and my clients about the beliefs we already carry about our own bodies. Sometimes we forget that we ourselves carry the highest intelligence about our own bodies. dnaPower confirms that inner knowing and empowers us to make choices that serve our greatest good.

Which dnaPower report is your favourite and why?

dietPower is my favourite report because I find that it is the foundation of many of the other reports. When we can zoom in on our diet we can better understand why we are experiencing variations in other areas.

Any fun facts or words of wisdom you’d like to share?

Nobody knows your body better than you do. Take time to listen to it and acknowledge when something doesn’t feel quite right. Have trust and be relentless when it comes to advocating for your health.

Where can we find out more about what you do?

You can find more about my work in body acceptance, intuitive eating, and body-positive fitness on my Instagram @healthy_with_kelsey or book an appointment with me at www.kelseyellis.ca
